Snap will be opening in Beverley in the previous home of Rebels’ Smokehouse. The latter recently closed after being in business for four years.
It was famous across the region for its mammoth eating challenges and the huge, huge portions they served.
After a short break and a makeover, the Rebels team will be reopening their business as Snap at noon on Friday, January 12.
Director Sean Singer is promising customers “a reight good feed” at the new eatery – and promises to serve some of the region’s very best steak dishes.
Sean, who runs the restaurant with his business partners Lucas Billingham and Jason Rowe, said: “We are very excited and ready to get the doors open and say hello to the public.
“Our customers are going to get great value meals and a lovely atmosphere.
“Everyone knew at Rebels they’d got a good size portion and that won’t be changing at Snap.”
The business is moving away from their eating challenges, which have included all-you-can-eat pizza and ice cream nights, to focus on serving top quality steak.
In terms of prices, starters, which include patty balls and belly pork, cost between £6 and £7 while you can get steaks for £10.

Sean said: “We really want people to know us for offering good value and we really believe Snap will. I know people will miss Rebels but we are Yorkshire lads and we wanted to focus on being somewhere which had Yorkshire in its roots.
“Obviously, I really like the menu but I’d really recommend our flat iron steak.”
From Sunday, January 21, the restaurant will be serving sharing Sunday lunches, which start at £12.50 per person.
To celebrate the opening of Snap, staff will be handing out free sample with flyers in Beverley this weekend.
