In-demand Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek ‘has his eyes set on the Premier League’ and would like to join either Manchester United or Tottenham this summer.
That’s according to Dutch football expert Marcel Van der Kraan, who joined talkSPORT on Monday to bring us the latest football news and gossip from the Netherlands.
Van de Beek is one of a number of Ajax stars who have been linked with moves away after the club’s Eredivisie title win and stunning run to the Champions League semi-finals.
The versatile 22-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs, including Barcelona – where team-mate Frenkie de Jong has already moved and Matthijs de Ligt could join him.
But a number of English clubs are also keen on the midfielder after his impressive campaign, ending the season with 17 goals and 13 assists for Ajax.
And Dutch journalist Van de Kraan says Van de Beek’s agent told him joining Spurs or United would be ‘right up his street’.

“Donny van de Beek has his eyes set on the Premier League,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on Monday.
“I think he’s a proper Premier League player – he’s got a big tank, he’s got the education from Ajax, he can play in more positions in midfield.
“I think he’s got his eyes set on a club like Man United or Tottenham Hotspur.
“I’ve been talking to his agent, and he said if that would materialise it would be something right up his street.”
