For many users running the Microsoft Window 7 application on their computers, a pump up reminder has begun to display on their screens, National Accord can report.
This is coming barely months the tech giant announced its intention to withdraw technical support for the Window 7 software.
Its 10 years of providing sound hi-tech support for Windows 7, come January 14, 2020 might breeze into the air, never for the tech giant to be held responsible thereafter.
Microsoft Corporation, an American multinational technology company, develops, manufactures, licenses, supports and sells computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and related services.
According to the information attained from the company’s official website, it recommended that users of Microsoft Window 7 application can embrace the Window 10 software to continue enjoying its support and be sure of regular security updates. Others, those who find it difficult to embrace change would have to contend with the ever evolving information age at their detriment.
It also stated that the recommended Window 10 software is best use with brand and new computer devices.
It said, “We know change can be difficult, so we are here to help you with recommendations for what to do next and to answer questions about end of support.
“When Windows 7 reaches end of support on January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide the following: Technical support for any issues, Software updates, Security updates or fixes.
“While you could continue to use your PC running Windows 7, without continued software and security updates, it will be at greater risk for viruses and malware. Going forward, the best way for you to stay secure is on Windows 10. And the best way to experience Windows 10 is on a new PC. While it is possible to install Windows 10 on your older device, it is not recommended.”
That said, users of Window 7, who are willing and ready to embrace change, coming as a result of the entire upgrade to Window 10 as recommended by Microsoft, can start to back up their files, as time is of the essence.
While the tech giant hasn’t left any of its application users to wallow in the mire of backing up their files to finding a computer that fits their needs, it stated “we’ve got tools to help you transition with ease.
“Save your personal files and photos to OneDrive or to an external hard drive. You can follow this link to learn all the different ways to move your files.
“Not only are new modern PCs fast (thanks to solid state drives) and durable with batteries that last longer, the average price for a great PC is considerably less than it was 5-10 years ago.
“We think you’ll feel right at home on a new PC with Windows 10, but if you have any questions or want to learn more, we have lots of tips and tutorials available.”
The benefit is that, “Life happens fast and with Windows 10 by your side, you can easily keep up. Windows 10 computers provide on average up to 28% faster startups, built-in security, and the apps you love,” it added.
