Christmas might be months away but one supermarket is getting into the festive spirit well ahead of everyone else.
Asda is selling mince pies, much to the shock of its shockers.
Shoppers spotted the festive treats in stores back in August, despite it being the height of summer.
However, last year the retailer revealed that it sells mince pies all year round – despite them being synonymous with Christmas.
The buttery pastry offering are filled with juicy raisins and festive spices.
An Asda spokesperson said: “Mince pies are firm favourites with our customers, which is why we have them available in our stores all year round and not just for Christmas.”
A Morrisons spokesperson said: “Our bakeries don’t sell mince pies all year round but we do start selling them a few months before Christmas because our customers tell us they really enjoy them.”
Asda’s mince pies have been the talk of the town on social media.
Food blogger NewsFoodUK posted a picture of the pies on Instagram, and the image has garnered hundreds of comments.
