Staff at Asda’s Kingswood branch have celebrated Halloween by performing the mannequin challenge in full fancy dress, while unassuming customers carry on with their shopping.
The three minute video captures witches, ghosts, ghouls and other frightening folk all staying statuesque in various poses while the camera rolls around the aisles. In the background, unfazed shoppers continue to peruse the shelves.
Since being posted on Saturday it has been viewed thousands of times.
The mannequin challenge was a craze at the end of last year where offices, schools and sports teams all over the world froze in position.
Asda manager and part-time zombie Jon Tabiner, who can be seen at the end of the video holding a sign saying ‘It’s dead in Kingswood’, said they wanted to bring the mannequin challenge “back to life”.
He said: “We just did it as a bit of fun, as a bit of colleague engagement really. It was something a bit different.
“We’re always getting dressed up in fancy dress and Saturday felt like the day most people were out celebrating Halloween, so we just thought we’d do it that morning. I got a few of my team together and we thought creatively.

“The customers loved it and it created a real buzz with them and between the staff.”
Mr Tabiner said he was “surprised” at how well the video had been received.
“I never expected so many people to see it to be honest,” he said.
“It was put up on Facebook and I think it’s been viewed 14,500 times now.
“It was a great thing to do and it’s been good fun.”
