The two teenagers were travelling across the famous salt flat, Salar de Uyuni. Reported by local radio station, the two teenagers both aged 19, were killed after the cart flipped while travelling on salt flats. The driver of the vehicle, aged 22, also died from the horrible accident.
Traffic police commander, Colonel Bernardo Isnado said that the car was apparently driving over the speed limit when the accident occurred.
The news comes as Bolivian police reported that four other people were injured in another accident on Sunday.
The accident occurred 186 miles south of the capital, La Paz.
The salt flats are the world’s largest salt and are one of the main tourist attractions in the country.
In total the Salar de Uyumi measures around 4,000 square miles.
As a result of its large size, the flats are popular transport route for cars.
