Rapper Bow Wow this week posted a picture on Instagram showing a private plane and a flashy car.
The 30-year-old captioned it “travel day” and said he was off to the US city of New York.
Normally, that would be it and we’d all assume Bow Wow was living the life of luxury.
“Stop comparing yourself to folks on social media. Most of them aren’t living how they claim”
But then someone recognised the rapper, real name Shad Moss, flying on a commercial airline.
And if one photo posted online is anything to go by, the 30-year-old wasn’t even flying first class.
It wasn’t long then before someone did a reverse image search, discovering the origin of the private plane photo.
What they found suggested that the photo was taken for a VIP transportation firm in the Florida, while Bow Wow was in Georgia.

Pretty soon the whole internet was dismantling the rapper, who was en-route to a taping of The Wendy Williams Show.
On Twitter, Joe Rodriguez invited him to “hang out at my crib” and sent him a picture of the White House.
And Charlie Hicks noted that it was his travel day too, sending Moss a photograph of Air Force One.
Others just encouraged the musician to be upfront with his fans instead of putting on a show.
Podcaster Cynia Barnwell told her followers: “Bow Wow clearly needs to act his wage.”
And Author Britni Danielle told her readers to “let Bow Wow be a lesson” about social media.
She wrote: “Stop comparing yourself to folks on social media. Most of them aren’t living how they claim.”
It comes after 50 Cent was told to stop flaunting his wealth online after filing for bankruptcy.
