The 21-year-old is on loan from Monaco and has impressed with the Foxes scoring once and providing four assists in seven appearances
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers is ‘sure there will be discussions’ between the club and Monaco about Youri Tielemans this summer.
Tielemans is on loan from the Ligue 1 club until the end of the season in a deal that saw Adrien Silva move to the other way.
He has impressed with the Foxes since joining in January with one goal and four assists in seven appearances.
“It’s always difficult because he is a Monaco player. I’m sure there will be discussions between the clubs – he is a wonderful talent,” said Rodgers.
“I think you can see he is clearly an outstanding young player. He has a terrific view of the game, for someone who is just 21 he has tremendous maturity. The thing is with him, he is only going to get better.”
It has been reported that if they want the 21-year-old on a permanent deal they would have to pay a club record £40million.
His impressive performances have also attracted the attention of rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.
Rodgers said: “It’s not for me to put a market value on a player. It’s up to me to ask is he a good player and can he affect how we work? And of course the answer is yes based on what we’ve seen.”
