The Britain’s Got Talent wildcard act has been unveiled ahead of the final.
Dancers Libby and Charlie will be joining the rest of the acts on stage tomorrow night in the hope of winning the ITV show and a spot on the Royal Variety Performance.
After a tense deliberation between the judges, it was decided 11-year-old dancing buddies Libby and Charlie will join the live grand final.
Hosted by Ant and Dec, Sunday’s thrilling finale sees 11 acts – including the wildcard – take to the stage, each battling it out to win the top prize – £250,000 and a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance 2019.
Dave and Finn, Flakefleet Primary School, 4MG, Siobhan Phillips, Colin Thackery, Kojo Anim, Ben Hart, Mark McMullan, X, Jonathan Goodwin and Libby and Charlie will perform one last time for judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams .
On the night, it will be down to the public to decide who is crowned the winner.
Also taking to the stage will be former winners Diversity who will present a fantastic new high-energy dance performance and superstar singer Susan Boyle, who will duet with Michael Ball on A Million Dreams.
Libby and Charlie had just one day to prepare for the semi-final after replacing The Brotherhood.
The bubbly duo were on stand-by when they were told they would be filling in for The Brotherhood who were forced to quit over safety concerns for the content of their act.
Charlie explained that he was on holiday in Greece when he got the call and Libby spoke to him on the phone to tell him to rush back to the UK so they could perfect their performance.
After their energetic routine on Friday night’s semi-final which delighted all four judges, host Dec explained that the pair had been on stand-by.
“What people won’t realise is that you were a stand-by act and because one act couldn’t be in the semi-finals you got called up to fill in. When did you find out you were in the semi-finals?”
Charlie said: “It was about Wednesday. So I was in Greece, not Grease the Musical, but the place. I was asleep on the sunbed.”
Libby giggled excitedly: “I was on FaceTime to Charlie like you need to get on that airplane and come home now!”
