Forbes released their list on Wednesday and the Notorious landed in 65th position overall
Conor McGregor has only fought once in the past year but the UFC superstar is one of the highest-earning celebrities in the world.
Forbes released their list of the top 100 highest-paid celebrities for 2019 on Wednesday and the ‘Notorious’ landed in 65th position overall.
Forbes believe McGregor raked in as much as $47million as of July 2019, with most of that coming thanks to his most recent fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
That fight reportedly earned him more than $30m in revenue and it was the biggest pay-per-view event in UFC history.
The card was sold to more than 2 million pay-per-view buyers and while McGregor’s disclosed payday was only $3m, he later earned the benefit of being paid on the back end as a partner with the TV company.
The Irish fighter also brought in an additional $5m from his sponsorship with Reebok, as well as the profits he has made from the sale of his Proper No. 12 whiskey, which he launched last year.
According to Forbes, the top earner in 2019 was singer Taylor Swift, who reportedly earned a whopping $185m over the past year.
The biggest earning sportsperson was Barcelona star Lionel Messi, who was ranked at no.4 in the list after earning a staggering $127m in the past year.
Popstar Ariana Grande edged just ahead McGregor no. 62, while actor Chris Evans came in at no. 73 behind the former two-division UFC champion.
