Marco Silva was part of the management team that brought Richarlison to the Hornets
Everton are closing in on the signing of Watford forward Richarlison for a stagerring £50m.
New Toffees boss Marco Silva knows all about the Brazilian after bringing him to the Hornets from Fluminense for £11.5 last summer.
The 21-year-old starred at the beginning of the 2017/18 season, scoring five goals in his first 12 Premier League games, but his form faded.
Some dreadful finishing meant he finished the campaign goalless since November, but he has been a key target for Silva since he took over at Goodison Park in May.
Watford and Everton have a strained relationship after the Toffees’ attempts to take Silva from the Hornets in October 2017, however talks have reached an advanced stage.
Everton were believed to be willing to pay about £35m but there are likely to be clauses that will take the deal closer to Watford’s asking price of £50m.
