During the week, Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo announced a tour to Silicon Valley on a collaborative investment drive.

He went with some members of the recently inaugurated presidential Advisory Group On Technology and Creativity.

The roadshow officially ended yesterday and the team should be back in Nigeria with the VP. According to official social media reports, here are a few stops on his way through Silicon Valley.

Welcome to Googlepex

The VP first made a stop in Mountain View California at Googleplex; the corporate headquarters of Google and Alphabet Inc. its parent company.

At Googleplex he was welcomed by Google CEO Sundar Pichai who was happy to chat about the opportunities that abound in Nigeria’s digital economy.

Google has a robust digital skills acquisition program in Africa and Nigeria that has made great strides.  Sundar Pichai who was recently in Nigeria will definitely have a lot to talk about with the VP.

The VP also met other investors and then headed to LinkedIn HQ but not before cool pictures in front of Google HQ.

The LinkedIn LinkUP

The VP was hosted by Co-founder and Vice-president of Product Management in a fireside chat titled “Investing in African Talent”.

At the chat, Osinbajo expatiated on the functions of the recently inaugurated Presidential Advisory Council.

In a fireside chat with Allen Blue, VP Product Management and co-founder of LinkedIn.

He also stated that Nigeria’s fast growing population called for unconventional educational models.

Hello Hollywood!

In a bid to explore the creativity arm of the group, VP Osinbajo made a final stop in Hollywood.

In Tinseltown, Osinbajo sat down in a forum with representatives of the biggest guns in the industry to discuss collaboration and investment in Nigeria talents.
