Javier Hernandez could be on his way to Hollywood – to join Will Ferrell’s MLS team.

The striker has been told by West Ham boss David Moyes he can leave the Premier League club this month.

West Ham FC transfer round-up: Hernandez to leave, Sakho set to follow, midfielder to arrive?

And talkSPORT understands that Los Angeles FC are working hard to secure a deal for the Mexican ace.

Ferrell, a mega-star of films such as Anchorman and Step Brothers, is one of 26 co-owners of the new Major League Soccer franchise .

The A-lister made a jokey plea to Hernandez to join LAFC last summer prior to his move to West Ham from Bayer Leverkusen.

But the club – managed by former USA and Swansea City boss Bob Bradley – have now made a serious attempt to land the 29-year-old and it is understood he is giving real consideration to the move.

Los Angeles has the largest Mexican population of any city in the United States and they are reportedly eager to recruit a big-name Mexican player as they prepare for the first season in MLS.

Few come bigger than Hernandez, who is his country’s all-time top goalscorer.
