Jose Mourinho’s relationship with his players has been put under massive pressure following the Manchester United boss’s angry reaction to Saturday’s defeat by Huddersfield.

The Portuguese was also said to be ‘aloof and cold’ with his players at training on Sunday, according to the Mirror.

United face Swansea in the Carabao Cup – live on talkSPORT 2 – on Tuesday night hoping to bounce back from the demoralising reversal to the newly-promoted Terriers.

Some players are unhappy with the public criticism they received and his demands for greater commitment to the United cause.

Jose lost his cool in the dressing room after the defeat which saw United slip five points behind title rivals Manchester City.

Such was his anger he threw his jacket across the room, according to The Sun.

Mourinho told reporters after the match: “The team that started with emotion, aggression, intensity, desire, that played the game of their lives was the team that won.”
