N’Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger will be missing for Chelsea, but highly regarded academy midfielder Billy Gilmour starts, along with centre-back Marc Guehi and right-back Reece James.
Willy Caballero is in goal while Michy Batshuayi is up top.
United have also fielded youngsters with Brandon Williams starting and James Garner on the bench. Paul Pogba is still out.
