Reds set to miss out on goalkeeper as Los Blancos make £68million swoop
Liverpool are set to miss out on signing Roma goalkeeper Alisson after the club’s president, James Pallotta confirmed he was close to joining Real Madrid.
The Reds have long been linked with the Brazilian shot-stopper, famed for his agility and his distribution.
But now it appears the Spanish giants, who beat them 3-1 in the 2017/18 Champions League final are set for victory again as they pip the Merseysiders to his signature.
The Roma president was visiting Naples when approached by journalists from arenanapoli.it and asked if it was possible for Napoli to land Alisson, he replied: “No, [Napoli president Aurelio] De Laurentiis doesn’t want to spend all his money.
“€78million [£68m] is needed and he’s close to joining Real Madrid.”
