RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) – Before the Heart Walk started, the American Heart Association congratulated several people on their lifestyle changes.
Our own meteorologist Mike Modrick was one of five recipients of the Lifestyle Change Award, gaining recognition for adopting a healthier a lifestyle.
Mike says he started his weight loss journey last Thanksgiving, cutting out carbs and alcohol from his diet.
And since then, he’s lost 84 pounds and went from 56 inch suit coat to a 46 inch suit coat.
Mike Modrick says, “Oh, I feel great. I feel like a 40-year-old if that makes any sense to you. I’m lighter on my feet. I can get down on the floor and back up real easy now. I’d make the time instead of playing some silly computer game for an hour in the morning, I do cardio.”
Mike says the secret to his weight loss is attitude.
You need to want the healthy lifestyle even more than wanting the doughnut or the pizza.
