Mystery surrounds the current closure of a newly refurbished bar and restaurant in Newland Avenue.
The Boathouse has been closed for more than a week, with the shutters down outside the establishment and no sign to explain the reason for it not being open, or when punters may be able to visit again.
The bar and restaurant suddenly closed early in the New Year, but was taken over by Jordan Gow, 24, and Chloe Poole, 27, lwho reopened The Boathouse last month.
They had spent time renovating the building in order to create a new feel for the restaurant.
Hull Live has tried to approach the two owners for an update on the closure, but has been unable to get in touch with them.
Jordan and Chloe got the keys for the restaurant in February, and have spent weeks renovating the interior and toilets, as well as stocking the bar with fresh ingredients for cocktails.
But with the bar now being shut up again with no warning, the future of the Avenues bar is unknown.
The Boathouse hit the headlines in January 2019 after former employees claimed they were not being paid by the previous owner, but the current owners are not connected with the past owners in any way.
