Lingard and Sanchez are back to full fitness, but will either of them start ahead of Romelu Lukaku or Marcus Rashford? Here’s the talkSPORT.com line-up
Manchester United forwards Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez have given manager Jose Mourinho a much-needed boost ahead of the Premier League clash with Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Red Devils duo have returned to full fitness and offer a solution to United’s goal-problem up front.
Romelu Lukaku has failed to score in his last nine games, a run dating back to the 2-1 win at Watford on September 15, and he was subsequently dropped for the last match against Everton.
But his replacement, Marcus Rashford, has also struggled in front of goal with just the single strike to his name this season.
One player guaranteed to start is in-form striker Anthony Martial, who has led United’s recent resurgence with four goals in his last three league games.
That leaves two spots up for grabs in the front three, with Lukaku, Rashford, Sanchez and Lingard all bidding to start.
Elsewhere, Mourinho has confirmed Antonio Valencia is missing due to a knee problem, while Marouane Fellaini and Diogo Dalot continue to recover from injuries sustained during the international break.
This is how talkSPORT.com expects the Red Devils to line up on Saturday:
Man United: De Gea; Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw; Fred, Matic, Pogba; Lingard, Lukaku, Martial.
