A man arrested in Romania over the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old Josh Hanson in 2015 has been charged with his murder.
Shane O’Brien, 31, was charged on Friday evening after arriving back in the UK following his extradition from Romania, the Metropolitan police said.
He is due to appear in custody at Westminster magistrates court on Saturday.
Hanson, from Kingsbury in north-west London, was knifed to death in RE Bar in Hillingdon, west London, in October 2015. He was found with a serious wound to the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A postmortem examination gave the cause of death as haemorrhage, inhalation of blood and an incised wound to the neck.
O’Brien was detained in Cluj-Napoca last month and arrived at Heathrow airport at 7.30pm on Friday.
