Making his return to the SmackDown GM chair for the first time since the birth of he and Brie Bella’s daughter, Bryan was approached by each competitor during the evening and asked what he planned to do about Carmella’s ‘win’ at Money In The Bank, which came via a huge assist from James Ellsworth. Carmella herself opened the show to give her own viable explanation, but it was left to Bryan to make the final call on what to do for the best.
The GM invited each woman down to the ring and explained that the result on Sunday was unprecedented and therefore it fell to his discretion on what to do about the situation surrounding Money In The Bank. Leading to the Yes Man announcing a rematch for the case featuring the same five ladies for next week’s SmackDown Live.
I haven't slept, what @WWEDanielBryan did to @CarmellaWWE was WRONG #Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh #JusticeForCarmella #SDLive #MITB

Last night also saw the fallout from the WWE Title match, as Randy Orton looked for more retribution on Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers after making things personal during their Money In the Bank bout. First, we saw The Viper send a warning to the WWE Champion in a sit-down interview with Tom Phillips, before later attacking Mahal after his win over Luke Harper. Having already dealt with a Baron Corbin threat to cash-in his newly one MITB contract, The Modern-Day Maharaja then tasted vicious DDT on the outside from Orton, while his cohorts both ate an RKO for their troubles.
Elsewhere Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Dolph Ziggler in his best SmackDown showing to date, Kevin Owens beat Chad Gable in a mock US Open Challenge organised by AJ Styles and Big E got the better of Jimmy Uso in singles action.
