Superhero showdown: Incredible Hulk and Flash Gordon ‘square off’ in fierce row

Lou Ferrigno, famous for playing the giant green superhero in the 70s and Sam Jones, who starred in the Flash Gordon film, appeared at London Comic Con 2017 to sign autographs for fans.

But the icons allegedly began to bicker over fans and tempers flared.

Fortunately 5ft 7in Darryn Clements managed to step between the two giants and defuse the situation, he claims.

Darryn, who was dressed as El Diablo from Suicide Squad, told the Sun: “There was a large crowd around, so I told them to act like adults and grow up as they were supposed to be their for their fans.

“I don’t know if I was the real superhero because if there was a clash of the Titans I would have got squashed.”

It appears that the actors have made up after the allegedincident, after they were pictured sitting next to each other at the event on Sunday.

Both of the former superheroes were charging punters £30 for an autograph.

Speaking after the altercation, Sam claimed he teamed up with Ferrigno to stop a row between fans.

He said: “It was between two other guys who wanted to fight each other.

“He and I together defused it.”
