The Hull restaurants, bars and cafes handed poor food hygiene ratings

Despite food hygiene becoming ever important there are still a few places failing to meet the basic standards.

Environmental health inspectors from Hull City Council have been visiting a number of premises and have recently posted the latest scores.

While the majority of places thankfully make the food hygiene grade, there are a few that have not met with approval from inspectors.

Food venues are rated between five and zero, with five being very good and zero meaning urgent improvements are necessary.

We take a look at some of the takeaways, restaurants and food shops which have only been handed a two or worse in the last couple of months.
