California torture family: Who are the Turpin family and were the children tortured?
Photos have also emerged of David and Louise Turpin. One shows the mother lying on her front in a garden or park.
Another shows the pair looking lovingly into each others eyes dressed in their wedding clothes. Another shows David giving the camera a thumbs-up gesture.
More and more is emerging about the secretive family’s life in the house of horrors.
David Turpin is said to have had a relatively well-paid job as an engineer at aeronautics and defence technology company Northrop Grumman.
But after overspending by £1,000 per month the family filed for bankruptcy in 2011. They said their large family expenses exceeded Mr Turpin’s £124,000 salary.
Records list Louise as a housewife with no income.
