Turpin family photos: David, Louise and 13 siblings in photos | World | News

David Allen Turpin, 57, and Louise Anna Turpin, 49, were arrested on Sunday and each charged with nine counts of torture and 10 counts of child endangerment.

Police said in a statement that they found several of the couple’s 13 children, ranging in age from two to 29, “shackled to their beds with chains and padlocks in dark and foul-smelling surroundings”.

And now photos of the David and Louise Turpin, along with group snaps, have been revealed.

One shows the parents renewing their vows at a Vegas-style wedding hall, with the girls wearing matching pink dresses and the boys in black suits with red ties.

Another shows the family at Disneyland, with most of the girls in princess-themed outfits.

A third image shows the family once again dressed in matching shirts. In a nod to Dr Seuss, each shirt is emblazoned with the words ‘Thing 1’, ‘Thing 2’, and so on.

Photos have also emerged of David and Louise Turpin. One shows the mother lying on her front in a garden or park.

Another shows the pair looking lovingly into each others eyes dressed in their wedding clothes. Another shows David giving the camera a thumbs-up gesture.

More and more is emerging about the secretive family’s life in the house of horrors.

David Turpin is said to have had a relatively well-paid job as an engineer at aeronautics and defence technology company Northrop Grumman.

But after overspending by £1,000 per month the family filed for bankruptcy in 2011. They said their large family expenses exceeded Mr Turpin’s £124,000 salary.

Records list Louise as a housewife with no income.
