Quotes from the Arnautovic’s brother suggested the Austria international wanted to move away to further his career
Marko Arnautovic has rubbished rumours about a move away from West Ham United, despite claims he is set to leave the club in the near future.
The Austria international has transformed himself in east London, going from a maverick winger at Stoke City to a consistent goal scorer in the capital.
However, with the striker turning 30 in just six months time, it seemed as though he was keen to move onto pastures new and potentially even European football.
His brother (who is also his agent) suggested Arnautovic wanted to join a ‘top team’, with Manchester United reportedly keen on the striker.
However, the striker has taken to Instagram to clarify his position and rubbish the rumours circulating about his future.
He wrote: “To all the fans don’t put any bad energy to the comments nothing is true from the newspapers it’s not good to believe always what u read just to let u guys know ok”
The 29-year-old has history with current Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho from when their career paths crossed at Inter Milan.
During his time in Serie A, he clashed multiple times with Mourinho for his tardiness.
When he finally turned up early to a training session, the Portuguese applauded him and gave him his watch as a form of congratulations.
