“To even suggest AJ is ducking after calling both out only two days ago is clueless”
KO maestro Wilder and Manchester’s Gypsy King went head-to-head in December but ended up walking away on even points despite Fury being floored by a signature strike from the American.
But, Wilder has now appeared to confirm that the highly-anticipated rematch is set to go ahead in a video posted onto Twitter.
The clip featured words saying: “Deontay Wilder, America’s heavyweight champion 41-0, 40 knockouts, one draw.
“Wilder vs Fury II.”
The man himself added: “Well, as I always say I’m the realest champion in the business.
“And as I’ve mentioned before I must handle all my controversial fights ASAP.”
No date has been announced yet and both fighters are focused on their respective upcoming bouts.
But, some fans have taken to Twitter to blast the pair for ducking out of a fight with current unified world heavyweight champion Joshua.
One said: “Oh great, that means we’ve got six months of Fury calling Joshua ‘no balls’.
“Credit where credit is due. We want Wilder Fury 2 but they’ll both sell the fight on the back of Joshua’s name. Can’t help but feel they are freezing him out.”
Another added: “Fury isn’t soft, but they’re definitely ducking AJ. To even suggest AJ is ducking after calling both out only two days ago is clueless.”
A disgruntled fan said simply to the pair: “Fight Joshua if you’re the best.”
